Each store has their own coupon policy.  It always a good idea to print out a store’s coupon policy and keep it with you when you shop.  Each store’s policy is below…please be sure to check their website for any updates to the policy.

Types of coupons we accept

  • We only accept vendor (manufacturer) coupons and store coupons

Limit on number of coupons

  • Vendor coupons & Store coupons: One coupon per product.
  • Earth Fare coupon (received through e-mail and mobile): Limit one coupon per person. Limit one coupon per transaction. One item per coupon, except when stated otherwise.

Policy on printing coupons

  • We DO accept printed coupons (color or black & white)

Printer-friendly coupon options (Earth Fare coupons ONLY)

  • If you have signed up to receive coupons from our website earthfare.com it is OK to show the coupon to the cashier on your phone OR write the coupon PLU numbers and expiration date on paper.

Text Coupons

  • All text coupons are…limit one per mobile number. Limit one per person. No substitutions. No cash value. Minimum purchases do not include beer, wine or gift cards.

We DO NOT accept

  • Expired coupons
  • Competitor’s coupons
  • Coupons that exceed the value of the product however; we will adjust the value of the coupon down to cover the whole cost of the product
  • ‘Smart Source’ coupons

Target Coupon Policy

Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. While use of coupons and other discounts provide a way to achieve great deals, abuse is prevalent in today’s environment. Store leaders have the ability to deny a purchase or return if guests’ reoccurring behavior becomes disruptive or the items are shown not to be for the purpose of using or gifting. When accepting coupons, we follow the guidelines below.

Manufacturer and Target Coupons

  • No more than one manufacturer coupon, one Target coupon (Target mobile coupons are Target coupons), and one Cartwheel℠ offer can be combined per item (unless prohibited by coupon).
  • We reserve the right to accept, refuse, or limit the use of any coupon and/or the subsequent return of items purchased with coupons.
  • Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon).
  • We do not accept expired coupons.
  • All valid coupons must be presented to the cashier during checkout and have a scannable barcode.
  • Item purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, color, flavor, etc.).
  • Coupons are void if copied, scanned, transferred, purchased, sold, prohibited by law, or appear altered in any way.
  • Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
  • We do not give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
  • Guest pays tax on full retail value, including the coupon value, of Manufacturer Coupons.
  • Target coupons reduce the taxable value.
  • We cannot accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
  • Some items may not be available at all stores.
  • These guidelines apply to all coupons accepted at Target (Color Checkout Coupons, Print-at-Home Coupons, Mobile Coupons, Mailed Coupons, Coupons from Newspapers and Magazines, etc.).
  • Target coupons aren’t refundable.
  • We regularly monitor the Coupon Information Corporation (CIC) website for counterfeit coupons. We do not accept counterfeit coupons.
  • Our Quantity Limit Policy is available on the policy board near Guest Services. We reserve the right to limit quantities. Note that the Quantity Limit Policy is in place for all transactions regardless of coupon usage.

Internet (Print-at-Home) Coupons

  • We gladly accept valid internet coupons with a scannable barcode.
  • We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.

Category/Department and Storewide Coupons

  • If redeeming more than one category/department or storewide coupon, you must meet the purchase requirements for each coupon individually.
  • If redeeming a category/department coupon plus a storewide coupon, you must meet the purchase requirements for each coupon individually.
  • Percent off coupons will apply to all qualifying items in the transaction. No other same category/department or storewide coupon will apply.

Buy One Get One Free Coupons (BOGO)

  • BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.
  • A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.
  • If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon may be used on the first item.
  • If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.


  • Returns of items purchased using Manufacturer Coupons may receive coupon value returned in the form of a Target GiftCard.

Publix Coupon Policy

Publix is committed to helping you save money. We offer weekly specials, buy-one-get-one free promotions, and accept Publix, manufacturer’s, and competitor’s coupons. When you add all these together, you can see why customers “Love to Save Here.” So that all of our customers can benefit from these deals, we reserve the right to limit purchase quantities. The types of coupons we accept:

  • Manufacturer’s coupons, Publix coupons, Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors (a list of which are posted at each Publix store).
  • Coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only.

Our acceptance guidelines:

  • Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon.
  • We only accept coupons for identical items we sell.
  • We only accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor’s coupon on the same item. Maximum of two coupons per item.
  • Manufacturer’s digital offers cannot be combined with manufacturer’s paper coupons on the purchase of the same item.
  • We do not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons.
  • We do not accept coupons that Publix determines to be printed incorrectly. For example, a coupon missing a size requirement or other standard coupon details.
  • We do not accept coupons presented via a mobile phone or device.
  • We do not accept coupons that appear to be copied. All coupons must be originals.
  • For a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate purchase.
  • We limit coupon redemption to eight of the same coupons per day, per household.
  • Manager’s approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.
  • Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor’s coupon per day, per household. The total order before coupons must be equal to or greater than the combined purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented. We consider competitor’s coupons for dollars off groups of items to be a dollars-off-total-order coupon and will only allow one per day, per household.
  • Money due back to the customer at the end of a transaction involving coupons will only be provided on a Publix gift card.

Our management teams will only issue rain checks for items which are advertised outside the store at a reduced retail. For example, on radio or TV, or in our weekly ad, co-op ad, mailer, or Internet site.

  • We will only issue one rain check, per day, per household for an item.
  • We will not issue rain checks for Publix, competitor’s, or manufacturer’s coupons.

Kroger Coupon Policy

Store Management has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY coupon(s). Store Management has the right to limit the quantity of coupons and/or items purchased in a single transaction, by a single Customer, or in a single day.

Coupons will be limited to no more than five (5) paper manufacturer coupons for the like products, each coupon value considered one (1) coupon in the same transaction.

Coupons will be limited to redemption from products currently on-hand at the store location.

Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon (paper or digital) per item purchased.

All coupons will be accepted at face value.

Expired coupons will not be accepted.

Only Pharmacy competitor coupons will be accepted.

Couponed items will not be sold to vendors.

Internet Coupon Restrictions/PAH Coupons:

  • “Free item” Internet coupons can be accepted if all purchase criteria is met.
  • Only one Internet coupon per item will be accepted.
  • In some instances, Internet coupons may be limited to two (2) coupons per Customer in a single day.

Internet coupons that display characteristics below will not be accepted:

  • Blurry
  • Out of proportion
  • Do not scan properly
  • Appear to be altered in any way

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy

  • HT accepts 20 coupons per day per customer/household with VIC card everyday; all others are redeemed at face value.
  • HT doubles manufacturer’s coupons up to a face value of 99¢ or less; with the total amount not to exceed $1.98 or entire retail of item; whichever is less.
  • HT doubles up to three identical manufacturer coupons; additional coupons for like items will be honored at face value.
  • eVics are additional store coupons that can be loaded to your VIC card.

HT Super Doubles

  • Harris Teeter super doubles is when HT doubles coupons that have a face value of up to $2. With the total amount not to exceed the entire retail/sale price of the item
  • A coupon will only be doubled to the value of the item. So if an item is 1.69 and you have a 1/1 coupon , the doubled value will be $1.69 to make the item free.
  • Stacking a manufacturers coupon and an eVic coupon will give you overage but remember eVics are 1x use.
  • Super Doubles start at 7am even for the 24 hour stores. You can get there at 5 or 6 and shop but you cannot start your check out until 7am when the systems have been set for the super double event.
  • Same rules apply 20 double coupons per day per customer/household with VIC card and 3 like coupons.

Walmart Coupon Policy

We gladly accept the following types of coupons*

Print-at-home internet coupons

  • Must be legible
  • Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on them
  • Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
  • Must have a valid expiration date
  • Must have a scannable bar code
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons with a specified price
  • Are acceptable in black and white or color
  • May not be duplicated

Manufacturers’ coupons

  • For dollar/cents off
  • We honor the manufacturer limitations
  • For free items (except those printed off the Internet)
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons
  • Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on them
  • Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
  • Must have a valid expiration date
  • Must have a scannable bar code
  • May not be duplicated

Competitors’ coupons

  • A specific item for a specified price, for example, $2.99
  • Buy one get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price
  • Have a valid expiration date
  • Are acceptable in black & white or color
  • May not be duplicated

Soft drink container caps

Checkout coupons (“Catalinas”)

  • Printed at our competitors’ registers for dollar/cents off on a specific item
  • Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” with specific item requirements printed on them
  • Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
  • Must have a valid expiration date
  • Must have a scannable bar code
  • Are acceptable in black & white or color
  • May not be duplicated

We do not accept the following coupons:

Checkout coupons

  • Dollars/cents or percentage off the entire basket purchase

Print-at-home Internet coupons that require no purchase

  • Competitors’ coupons
  • Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer
  • Percentage off
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price
  • Double- or triple-value coupons

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

  • We only accept coupons for merchandise that we sell.
  • Coupons must be presented at the time of purchase.
  • Only one coupon per item.
  • We have the ability to limit the number of identical coupons and the number of coupons for the same item per transaction.
  • Item purchased must be identical to the coupon (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc).
  • Coupons must have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates.
  • If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.
  • In all situations, we reserve the right to limit purchase quantities to typical retail purchase quantities or one-per-customer or household and to exclude dealers.
  • Store Managers have the final decision in taking care of the customer.
  • SNAP items purchased in a SNAP transaction are ineligible for cash back.
  • WIC items purchased in a WIC transaction are applied to the basket purchase and may not be eligible for cash back. Refer to state-specific WIC guidelines.
  • The system will prompt for supervisor verification for:
    • 4 or more like coupons per transaction.
    • A coupon of $5 and over.
    • $50 or more in coupons in one transaction.
    • Coupons totaling a percentage (%) off of the total sale.

Sprouts Coupon Policy

As a customer-focused retailer, Sprouts encourages the use of coupons by our customers, in accordance with the following guidelines.


  • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.
  • Sprouts does not have a loyalty card programs
  • Sprouts does not accept expired coupons.
  • Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
  • If the coupon exceeds the value of the item the coupon will be worth the value of the item.
  • Competitor coupons are not accepted at Sprouts.
  • Sprouts cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.
  • The customer is required to pay any tax unless otherwise stated on the coupon.

Internet/Print At Home Coupons

  • Sprouts accepts valid internet/print at home coupons with a clear and scannable barcode.
  • Please go to www.sprouts.com. On the homepage, click “Get E-NEWS” and fill out the form to join our FREE mailing list program and begin receiving coupons and e-news updates.
  • We will accept black and white coupons off the internet, but please leave the page whole as it is printed from the website so the cashier will know it is not a copy.

Multiple Coupons

  • We do not limit the number of coupons per transaction.
  • We do not double or triple coupons.
  • Sprouts coupons cannot be combined with a manufacturer’s coupon, or any other offers.
  • When purchasing a single item, Sprouts accepts one manufacturer coupon.

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

  • When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, only one coupon can be used against the items being purchased.

Whole Foods Coupon Policy

  • A store coupon and a manufacturer coupon can be combined on one item.
  • When the value of the coupon exceeds the value of the product no cash back is given.
  • Coupons are never doubled or tripled.
  • All types of coupons are accepted with the exception of those that are obviously photocopied.
  • Competitor coupons are not accepted with the exception of Michigan stores in Midwest.
  • Case discounts can be combined with coupons.
  • Multiple Whole Deal coupons for the same item in one transaction can be used as long as there is an individual coupon for each item purchased.
  • If there is a BOGO FREE promo, one coupon can be used for the full price item.
  • All regions will allow Whole Deal coupons to be combined with manufacturer’s coupons.
  • Team Member discounts may be used in conjunction with all Whole Deal coupons.
  • Regions will override printed guidelines when necessary for customer/guest satisfaction.

Trader Joe’s Coupon Policy

Trader Joe’s does not have an official coupon policy. Many of the products in store are Trader Joe’s brand, although they do carry some popular national brands. They accept manufacturer coupons for products they carry in-store. Keep in mind, prices and product vary from region and state, so always check with your local store.
